"Probabilistic Modelling of Multiphasic Degradations for Maintenance Optimization of Infrastructures in Civil Engineering: application for a submerged reinforced concrete structure".
Inspection and monitoring tools in civil engineering were the subject of remarkable technological advancements in the last decade. As a consequence, data acquisition became cheaper, non-intrusive, and a lot faster. It is important to provide innovative methods and mathematical tools for the management of the ageing of infrastructures, especially in terms of integration of NDT. The understanding of degradation mechanisms is not enough by itself, degradation models must be robust and able to integrate in dynamic contexts. In this context, the thesis proposes a modelling approach of multiphasic degradation phenomena of reinforced concrete based on a formulation of non-stationary state-dependant stochastic process.
