The LARIS laboratory is a multidisciplinary research unit in Science and Technology belonging to the University of Angers (UA). The laboratory brings together researchers several faculties and schools of the territory.
Our objective is to cultivate a strong disciplinary openness in the field of ICST, to bring out original research themes. The methods developed by our groups and the innovative nature of the solutions proposed enable us to respond effectively to the need for operational knowledge and expertise. We encourage the development of scientific work that mainly relies on the skills of Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (ICST), while associating, for certain themes or fields of application, those of Engineering Sciences and Life Sciences.
Regarding the disciplines and research objects it studies, the unit is structured into three balanced groups focusing their research on:
- The study of dynamic systems, particularly discrete-event systems, and their optimization for the Dynamic Systems and Optimisation group (Leader: Sébastien Lahaye);
- Signal and image processing, mainly applied to life sciences for the Information, Signal, Image and Life Sciences group (Leader: Jean-Baptiste Fasquel);
- Reliabilty and operational performances of complex system for the Reliability Engineering and Decision-Making tools group (Leader: Laurent Saintis).
All the current projects showing the range of our activities and skills can be accessed directly via this link Projects.
