The Lebanese International University and the research work of the "Energy and Thermofluid" group.

Abstract

The seminar will be divided into two parts.

The first part will concern a general presentation of the Lebanese International University (LIU): organization, staff, training, research strategy and structure, and international relations.

The second part will be devoted to the presentation of the research works of the Energy and Thermofluid group, particularly the recent researches on Energy management: (1) Electricity production from thermoelectric devices (2) Hybrid cogeneration systems and (3) Use of phase change materials in building

 

Biography of Jalal Faraj

Jalal Faraj was born in Rafid, Lebanon in 1986. He is currently a associate professor in Energy and Thermofluid at the Lebanese International University and the Lebanese University.

He received the Engineering, Research Master, and PhD degrees in Thermal Energy from the University of Nantes.


Biography of Mahmoud Khaled

Mahmoud Khaled was born in Chehim, Lebanon in 1984. He is currently Professor of Energy and Thermofluid at the Lebanese International University and Director of Research and Higher Education.

He received the Engineering degree in Mechanics from the Lebanese University in Lebanon, and the Research Master in Thermal - Energetics from the University of Nantes in France in 2006 as part of a double degree program. He then obtained his PhD in Thermal - Energetics from the University of Nantes in France in 2009. In 2021, he received his HDR degree in Mechanics from the University of Angers.
